Why ONDO needs structured context
ONDO represents a market where volatility and available liquidity may differ materially from larger crypto assets. That makes explicit validity, risk levels and indicator disagreement important. The Trading Zones package preserves missing values as null instead of inventing replacements, allowing the agent to reason about data quality.
Trading Zones does not ask an agent to infer the whole setup from a single price tick. The package combines a directional decision with confidence, execution levels and indicator states generated from the latest completed 4H candle. That separation matters: direction uses LONG, SHORT or NEUTRAL, while individual indicators use up, down or neutral.
What the agent receives
- A versioned package identifier and validity window.
- The Trading Zones decision and active direction.
- Confidence score, probability band and market-context message.
- Reference entry, stop loss, take profit, liquidity guards and available R:R values.
- CH, RSI, MACD, Bollinger, Stochastic, Taker, Supertrend, ADX and VWAP readings.
- A public Binance endpoint for checking the live execution price.
Why the latest closed 4H candle is used
Open candles keep changing. A system that recomputes its meaning on every price movement can produce unstable signals and expensive duplicate analysis. Trading Zones calculates after a 4H candle has closed, stores the result in cache and serves the same decision package at scale until the validity window ends. The live entry remains the responsibility of the consuming agent.
How an AI agent buys the package
- Call the ONDO endpoint without an account or buyer API key.
- Read the HTTP
402 Payment Requiredchallenge. - Authorize exactly $0.03 USDC on Base through an x402-compatible wallet.
- Retry the same request with the payment signature.
- Use the JSON only after the API returns HTTP 200 and verify
valid_until.
During the refresh window the API returns HTTP 503 and a Retry-After value. No payment should be authorized while current data is unavailable.
Useful agent workflows
An agent can compare ONDO's setup against the larger BTC and ETH markets, require a higher confidence threshold, treat missing liquidity guards conservatively and avoid execution when the package has expired.
The package is designed as decision-support data. An autonomous system should still apply its own wallet limits, position sizing, venue checks and execution rules. A NEUTRAL result is useful information and costs the same because avoiding a low-quality trade is part of the decision process.
